Using Experience

The upper is breathable, which is crucial here in the desert heat. I didn't get that swampy-foot feeling I sometimes get with other road shoes. They handle the transition from road to gravel well, offering more stability than a typical road shoe on slightly uneven ground. I felt secure even on some loose turns.
I typically run about 20-30 miles a week, and I put about 100 miles on these shoes in the last month. Comparing that to my Brooks Ghost (another favorite), I noticed less foot fatigue after longer gravel runs. I have been running with other road shoes such as Brooks Ghost and Hoka Clifton, both of which have a similar price. The main difference between these 3 models is the grip and surface experience, as the Salomon Aero Glide 3 GRVLs are obviously better suited for gravel roads, whereas the other two are more optimized for concrete road surfaces. I have to say that I had a better using experience overall with these shoes, so I would definitely recommend them to my audience!
However, if you're planning on tackling anything more technical than a groomed gravel path, you'll want to stick with a dedicated trail shoe. Also, while the cushioning is great for longer runs, I did notice a slight lack of responsiveness when trying to pick up the pace. They're not race-day shoes, but they're excellent for those easy-to-moderate runs where comfort is key.
All in all, the Salomon Aero Glide 3 GRVL are a solid choice for runners who want a comfortable and versatile shoe that can handle both road and light gravel.

If I could change one thing, I'd maybe add a slightly more aggressive outsole for better traction on loose surfaces.
